The Carbon Flipcore W.S.D., with its uni-directional carbon frame, has long impressed skiers with its ability to reduce weight without sacrificing performance. Blizzard builds on that technology with a few new additions, including TrueBlend technology, a reimagined woodcore design that uses wood stringers of different weights and stiffness in the areas of the ski that need them most. Heavier, stiffer Beech is used throughout the midsection of the ski to maximize power and stability, while lighter and softer poplar is used in the extremities of the ski, making turn initiation and engagement easier thanks to a more balanced flex pattern. The low weight, high-powered carver is now more appealing to an even wider range of skiers, if that is possible.
